There will be a Landon Trail dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 6th at 10:15 am at SE 45th St. in Topeka.
A workday was held on the Landon Nature Trail on April 19th, 2014, with a group of volunteers working to clear and maintain the trail.
Via KRTC’s John Purvis:
Great group came out today on the Landon. They got the last section opened up on the Clinton Wildlife Area. Just a few limbs left to cut and some blading needed on some erosion spots. You can see the Wakarusa River Bridge from where we cleared. These are some outstanding volunteers. Kansas has a lot of hard working volunteers building something that benefits everyone. I feel lucky getting to work with them.
Workdays are scheduled regularly. Watch the KRTC Facebook Group for announcements.
